Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav (Ashwini Vaishnav) Gave information about this in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. He said during Question Hour, "I am happy to inform you that the 4G telecom network is ready to be launched soon. It has been developed by the country's indigenous engineers and scientists. The development of our 4G network is being appreciated all over the world. 
It has a core network, a radio network with complete telecommunication equipment. " The telecom minister said BSNL was in the process of ordering the immediate installation of 6,000 towers across the country and then 6,000 and finally 1 lakh towers for the 4G network. 

He also said that internet connection may be available in trains only when 5G network is started as 4G technology disrupts communication in trains running at a speed of 100 kmph. On the question of 4G internet service in trains, he said that if a train is running at a speed of more than 100 kmph, it will require 5G network.

Ashwini Vaishnav also gave information related to 5G. He said that parallel work was going on in this direction and it would be ready in a few months. Airtel, Jio and Vodafone Idea are the major telecom companies in the country today. At the same time, BSNL has been fighting for 4G service for many years. 

Connecting BTS to optical fiber

The telecom minister said telecom service providers (TSPs) connect their base transceiver stations (BTS) installed on mobile towers with optical fiber. As of February 1, 2022, there are approximately 7,93,551 BTS connected to optical fiber in the country.
